Last Sunday 13.02. life in America, like every previous year, was stopped for one day. The main reason for this is the final game of the 57th Super Bowl, in which the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles with a score of 38-35, and won the championship.
Whether you're a fan of American football or not, whether you're wondering why this sport is called football even though most of the game is played with the ball in the hands, one thing is certain - the Super Bowl is by far the biggest sporting event in America, therefore one of the biggest sports events in the world.
Suppose we were to tell you that in just one day during the Super Bowl, over $1.3 billion is spent on beer, or, for example, more than 3.5 tons of guacamole is eaten during quarter breaks. In that case, we doubt that „egg“ ball and helmet are the first things that come to mind when you think of America's biggest event.
But oh well, you don't have to worry, as we come from the world of advertising, it's not crucial to know the proportions of the pitch, or to charm people with your knowledge of running back tactics, although tactics shouldn't be overlooked, we're just here to play for heaven's sake and talk about this year's Super Bowl commercials, which, by the nature of things, will become immortal.
And the nature of things is represented by NBC's announcement that it sold part of the 30-second slots for this year's game for 7 million dollars and that over 100 million people in America watched the duel between Kansas City and Philadelphia.
So sit back in your office chairs, or just get up from your lying position if you're online, and enjoy the best commercials from this year's Super Bowl.
